Addie D. Simmonds

Addie Dorothea Simmonds, 91, of Phoenix, OR. passed Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at her home. She was born June 4, 1918 in Phoenix, OR. to Richard & Ida(Zillgitt) Bolz. On Oct. 30, 1938 in Medford, OR. she married Merle Walter Simmonds who preceded her in 1998. Addie enjoyed gardening, canning and freezing fruits and vegetables and quilting. She was a full time mother and homemaker. Survivors include two daughters; Penny (George) Heacock of Eugene, OR., and Bonnie (Jim) Martin of Eugene, OR., two grandsons; Keith & Mark Martin of Eugene, OR. Contributions are suggested to the Jackson County Humane Society. Visitation will be held 5:00PM to 7:00PM Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at Memory Gardens Mortuary. She will be laid to rest beside Merle in Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Friends are invited to her home 2:00PM Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010. Memory Gardens Memorial Park & Mortuary in care of arrangements.
