Adelbert Alfred Schrein

April 7, 1916 — November 5, 2019

Adelbert Alfred Schrein of Medford, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on November 2, 2019. He lived 103 years by the grace of God.
Del was born near the town of Hooper, Nebraska on April 7, 1916, a son of Theodore H Schrein and his wife Olga nee Bergt Schrein. He was baptized and confirmed into the faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church near his birthplace.
In 1940, Del moved to California. On April 11, 1941 at Carson City Nevada he married Beatrice Lillian Siebrecht and theirs was an enduring union of 66 years. During WWII, Del served as a member of the U.S. Army. In 1944 Del and Bea followed the path of Bea's parents and moved to the Rogue Valley. Medford proved to be a good place for their family to put down roots. They became faithful members of St. Peter Lutheran Church in 1944. Del worked jobs in the Medford area until he retired in 1978.
Del enjoyed a practical and useful life , and he especially liked gardening, baking, reading and woodworking. He constructed a special grandfather clock for each of his children. Del was always known to be dependable in his work, cheerful and good natured, practical of mind and helpful to all.
Del and Bea were blessed with five children, four daughters and one son, 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie(James) McCarty, Adele(Al) Snyder, Sandra Beaumont all of Medford and his son Theodore(Chong Hui) Schrein of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Del was preceded in death by his wife Bea, daughter Lynda Jinkerson and grandson Jonathon Schrein.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church 1020 E. Main St. Medford Oregon In Del's name.
