Alice Mae "Harger" Oetinger

Alice Mae (Harger) Oetinger, 87 of Medford, passed on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Providence Medford Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1922 in Weldon, Colorado to Burl and Mattie (Houston) Kelley. Alice married Ralph Harger and they had 4 children. They moved to Albany, Oregon in the 40's from Colorado and then from Albany to the Rogue Valley. She worked for the Medford Cannery for many years and for the Jackson County Health Department in a variety of areas. Alice attended the Medford Neighborhood Church, participated in the Foster Grandparents Program and enjoyed bible study, puzzles, the church choir and Dominos. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Ralph Harger, Sr. a son, Ralph Harger, Jr. and second husband, Samuel Oetinger. Alice is survived by, daughters, Leah Houston Kinyon of Medford, Ore.; Alice Mae Harger, of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Robert Lyman Harger of Phillipsburg, Kan.; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way. A viewing will be held from 3-6pm on Wednesday, April 21 and a funeral service 11am on Thursday April 22 at Memory Gardens Mortuary, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford 541-773-7338.
