Alvin Roy Smith, 78, of White City, OR passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born Nov. 19, 1935 in Tower City, ND to Roy Andrew & Mable (Hinricks) Smith. In 1954 he married Shirley Anne Cowdrey who survives. Al came to the Rogue Valley when only 5years old. He worked at Timber Products Corp. over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors in addition to Shirley include two daughters; Sherry (Don) Sutphin of Central Point, OR and Jacquie (Steve) Evans of White City, OR, a sister Elsie Williams of Medford , four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
