Arlene Effie Hoffman

April 1, 1929 — October 8, 2015

Arlene Effie Hoffman, 86 years young, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her home in Eagle Point, Oregon.

She is survived by her sister, Doris Grosch; two sons, Dustin and wife Debbie; Barry and wife Kathy; four grandchildren; Damonn and wife Nikki; DeLanie and husband Aron; Lacie and husband Ryan; Arlisa and boyfriend Tyler; foster son Greg Loper; six great grandchildren, Haylee, Mason, Jenna, Ashley, Jaxon and Taylen. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, mother Beryl, father Clifford, grandon Dolan Lee and brother-in-law Donald. All were the light of her life. There will be a memorial service with a social gathering for Arlene Effie Hoffman at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Eagle Point Community Bible Church.

Arlene was born in Eagle Point, Oregon on April 1, 1929 and never left her community that she loved so much until October 8th. Arlene attended and graduated from Eagle Point. After school, she attended Southern Oregon College in Ashland, Oregon. During her summer months during high school and college, she worked as a bookkeeper for Southern Oregon Sales and Camp White in charge of the 21 POW'S laundry from Germany. During her young adult life, she worked for School District No. 9, grocery clerk and other small jobs. Her main job was to be a great housewife, mother, taking care of her boys and Theodore that was handicapped.

Arlene was a member of the Eagle Point Community Bible Church, Eagle Point Grange, DAV Auxiliary Chapter 8, VFW Auxiliary, Volunteer for Loaves and Fishes and Easter Seals. She donated money through out her life to Eagle Point Community Bible Church, Church Missionaries, Campus Life, Wilderness Trails and other organizations.

Arlene loved the outdoors, riding in the mountains with Theodore, spending time at her cabin, spending time with her mother, Beryl and sister, Doris, playing cards, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Arlene noted, "I have surely been blessed. The wonder of it all is that Jesus Loves Me and Forgives. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord and that is what we have done."

The family suggest that remembrances in her name be made to: Wilderness Trails.
