Bertha Ruth Uhrich

Bertha Ruth Uhrich, 92, of Medford passed Wednesday, April 22,2009 at her home with her daughter at her side. Bertha was born Sept. 10, 1916 in Verona, ND to Ibel & Alsena(Weimann) Nannenga. In 1936 she married Adolph C. "Dick" Uhrich who preceded in death in 1963. She and Adolph came to the Rogue Valley in 1944. She worked in the cafeterias at both Eagle Point and Medford(Hedrick & Washington) schools. She was an active participant in the Foster Grandparent Program at Washington Elementary School from 1985 to 2005. She was a long-time member of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Medford. Bertha is survived by a daughter Carolyn Uhrich of Medford, OR., three sisters Temmia "Minnie" Jordahl of Fargo, ND., Alvine Larson of Medford, OR., Grace Haisley of Hillsboro, ND., a brother Frederick Nannenga of LaMoure, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Adolph, three brothers and one sister. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Memory Gardens Chapel, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, OR. with a reception to follow. Pasor Robert L. Larson(retired) will officiate. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
