Betty June (Lindsay) Luney, age 88, of Eagle Point, Oregon passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Betty was born August 12, 1923 to Lloyd and Elsie (Tetherow) Lindsey in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Her family moved to Shady Cove and then on to Eagle Point. Bettty graduated from Eagle Point High School. In 1944 she married Harold William Clause who preceded her in death in 1959. She remarried in 1964 to Kenneth Howard Luney who preceded her in 2006. Betty owned a fabric/sewing store in the '60's and then became a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, bingo, casino's, fishing and traveling.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Patricia Jean Colley of Central Point, Ore; step-son, Kenny Luney; 4 grandchildren, Travis & Rannee Colley and Jayne & Tyler Luney; 5 Great-grandchildren, Brandon, Nick, Lindsay, Jordan & Ronnie and 1 Great-great granchild, Talia. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Harold Clause and Kenneth Luney; sister, Genavive Huffsteader and brother, Jim Lindsay.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 2:00pm at Memory Gardens Mortuary Chapel. She will be laid to rest in the mausoleum of Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
