Betty Louise Twedell

Betty L. Twedell, 85, of Central Point, Ore., passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 in her home. A graveside service, for family only, will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at Memory Gardens at 1:00 p.m. There will be a memorial service Nov. 5, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Valley View Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3677 South Stage Rd., Medford. All are welcome to attend the memorial service. Betty was born Aug. 18, 1924 in Deer Creek, Ill., to Frank and Ruth Jenkins. On Feb. 1, 1941, she married Harold S. Twedell, Sr., in Kahoka, Mo. Betty retired from General Credit Service as a collector. She was a member of Valley View Seventh Day Adventist Church. In her free time she enjoyed playing dominoes, volunteering at church and watching golf on T.V. She was a wonderful cook. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family very much. Betty is survived by her husband, Harold L. Twedell, Sr.; sons, Jim L. Twedell, Harold L. Twedell, Jr., Don L. Twedell, David L. Twedell and Terry L. Twedell; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Bob Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Elmer, Clarence "Mickey," and Frank Jenkins; sisters, Fran Herdliska and Milly Jenkins; and grandson, Kenneth "Duke" Twedell.
