Catherine Harriet Czmowski

Catherine Harriet Czmowski, age 85, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at her home in Sherwood, Oregon. She was born to Theodore and Harriet Pieschke on February 21, 1926 in Raymond, South Dakota. She and her husband Vernon were married 64 years and spent most of their adult lives in Southern Oregon. They maintained a family farm in Gold Hill for 50 years prior to moving up to the Portland area to be close to their children and family. Catherine enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and being with family during special occasions. She enjoyed taking in all the joy and excitement of being around the ruckus of children on holidays and at family functions.
Catherine was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sherwood, Oregon.
She is survived by her husband Vernon; her daughters, Joan Snook, Janice Rose and Joy Czmowski; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Corrine Barkley and Elaine Fox and her brother, Jim Pieschke. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Reiten and brothers, Roy, Bob and Willard Pieschke.
Funeral services were held at Memory Gardens Mortuary, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, Oregon on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
