Charles Ira Curtis, 69, of Medford, Ore., passed away September 13, 2011, in Curry County. He was born May 24, 1942, in Liberal, Kans., to Charles Ira Curtis Sr. and Letha Coombs.
On May 14, 1977, in Pueblo, Colo., he married Rita M. Curtis. Charles worked as an electrician and retired from Pacificorp. He served in the U.S. Army, in the Vietnam Veteran Special Forces.
Charles is survived by his wife; daughters, Charla Curtis, Jan Mazotti, Laurie Fuchsgruber, Renee Bowne; son-in-law, Pete Bowne; sisters; Jerry Knight, Geneva Wilson; brother-in-law, Michael Metzker; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services with Military honors were held Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 10:00 A.M., at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, Ore. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Association.
