Christena Marie "Chris" Rose

Christena "Chris" Marie Rose, age 86, of Grants Pass, Oregon passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012. She was born in Macdoel, Cal. to Raymond and Gladys Garey on September 11, 1925.
She graduated from Ashland High School and then beauty college. Chris married Lawrence M Rose on February 16, 1947 in Ashland, Oregon. Chris owned and operated Roses Beauty Shop in Medford for over 20 years. She was licensed in Real Estate also. Chris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed her family & friends, gardening, drawing and playing cards.
Chris is survived two children, daughter Debi Rogers of Grants Pass, Oregon and son Barry (Sharon) Rose of Salt Lake City, UT; a sister Betty Jean Brown of Oroville, CA., 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by Lawrence Rose on December 1, 1997 and her daughter Patty Mimbs in 2010.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Memory Gardens Chapel with Bishop David Folsom of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints conducting.
