Claude Newman, 69, of Medford, Oregon, passed away August 27, 2009. He was at the home of sisters that were by his side caring for him until the end. Claude was born in Bakersfield, California. He grew up in Lakeview, Oregon on the family farm where he enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. This was a passion he enjoyed all of his life. He joined the Navy and did welding and maintenance on aircraft. He was also a crew member and flew 32 missions over Viet Nam. He spent 12 years in the Navy serving our country and traveling the world. After the Navy he worked as a welder & fabricator. He ran his own business most of his life He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosezella Newman; father Ralph Newman; and brother, Ralph Newman Jr. He is survived by daughter, Barbara Wyman; son, Eddie Newman; and two grandchildren Brent and Megan Wyman. Also his sisters, Dorothy Nienow, Maxine Adams and Carolyn Hammer; and brother, Rodney Newman. He will be missed by the people that knew him and loved him. Claude will be layed to rest at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
