Darlene Ruby Chapman

Darlene Ruby Chapman, age 89, of Medford, OR. passed Friday, March 29, 2013 at her home. She was born June 19, 1923 in Yorkshire, Iowa to Daniel Ernest Johnson and Lillie Bertha Krohn.
Darlene has lived in the Rogue Valley since coming here from Iowa when she was 13 years old. She graduated from Phoenix High. Just after the war in 1946 she married Alvin Everett Chapman who preceded her in 1999. She took great delight in growing her special pink roses, playing scrabble, bowling, reading and her grandchildren. Darlene attended the 1st Christian Church in Medford.
Survivors include two sons; Daniel(Elizabeth) Chapman of Medford, OR. and Bruce(Carrie) Chapman of Eagle Point, OR. a sister Larraine Russell of Roseburg, OR. and brother Otis Johnson of Medford, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00PM Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Memory Gardens Chapel, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford. She will be laid to rest beside Alvin in Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Viewing will be Monday from 11:00AM to 1:00PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
