Darlene Marie Pennell, 79 years of age, passed away at the home on Saturday, December 28, 2013.
Darlene was born August 7, 1934 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was the youngest and last survivor of 4 children.
Darlene graduated from Days Creek High School in June 1952. She married the love of her life, Morris Pennell on June 14, 1952 and became the mother of 4 children.
Darlene is survived by her children: Sherri (Cliff) Ward of Culver, Oregon; Mike (Cindy) Pennell of Pendleton, Oregon; Cindy (Steve) Grenya of Turner, Oregon; Ann Marie (Pete) Willey of Medford, Oregon; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
An informal celebration of Darlene's life will be held on January 11, 2014 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Darlene's home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to may make donations to a local animal rescue shelter or the Disabled American Veteran's program in Darlene's name.
