Dennis J Poulin went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 13, 2018, with his wife Loretta at his side.
Dennis was a Marine Corps veteran, having served in Vietnam from September 1966 until August 1969. He was wounded twice and received several medals, including the Purple Heart.
In 1986, Dennis was a partner in starting Business Telecom, a telecommunication business. After retiring in 2009, Dennis spent his time pursuing his passion of hiking and mountain climbing. His most proud accomplishment was hiking to the summit of the highest peak in all 50 states.
In January 2017, Dennis was diagnosed with ALS. Even though he could no longer go hiking, he faced his disease with a positive attitude and incredible strength. He has climbed his final mountain.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 28 years, Loretta; his children, Andi (Jim) Brooks, Ben (Maggie), Matt, Joe, and Mary; his step-children, Sheri (Bill) Stewart and Gary (Deb) Hogenson; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Esther; brother, Lynn; and daughter, Cindy.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m. at the New Life Church of the Nazarene, 1974 E. McAndrews Road, Medford, OR 97504. Arrangements are being handled by Memory Gardens, memorygardensmortuary.com
