Denver Byron Perkins

June 15, 1933 — October 23, 2008

On a very beautiful fall day of October 23, 2008 Denver Byron Perkins, 75, passed away peacefully with his family at his side and is now with the Lord. Denver was born on June 15, 1933 in Imboden, AR. He served in the US Navy. Denver married the love of his life Winona Mae Masters on August 23, 1954 in Kansas City, MO. and raised three children. They were married 54 years. Denver, like his father was a trucker! For 42 years Denver was an owner - operatorand drove his big rigs all over the United States. On the side he was a cattle rancher and hay farmer in the Eagle Point area. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very hard working man and no job was too big including his battle with Alzheimers which he bravely endured for the last eight years of his life. Denver is survived by his wife of 54 years Winona Mae, his children; son James Byron Perkins of Eagle Point, son Kenneth Louis & Cinda Perkins of Gold Hill and daughter Melinda Sue & Jerry Mann of Eagle Point, two grandchildren Robin James Perkins and Brandi Mann. Also two sisters; Billie Tapp and Annabeth Crosley as well as close friends Mike Noonan and Jim Meade. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Jamie Trautman and Isabelle Perkins. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at Memory Gardens Chapel. Mausoleum entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
