Dorothy Isabel Heavilin was born June 7, 1929, in Ashtabula, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Winters-Frazier and Ray Eddy Frazier, her husband, Wesley Raymond Heavilin, a sister, Leona May Frazier, and four brothers, John Alvin, William Edward, James Earl, and Joseph Walter. Dorothy was gifted with a beautiful voice and was active in three trios on Ohio before moving and residing in Artesia, CA., where over the next 10 years she was involved in three more trios. She moved to Medford in 1972, where she continued in her music ministry and became involved two different trios, which involved some traveling. Dorothy also served on the local church board and was involved in missions.
In 1972, Dorothy met and married Wesley Heavilin. Together they enjoyed social events such as potlucks and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed camping with Wesley and canning vegetables from his garden.
Dorothy was generous in her giving for the Lord's work. One of her favorite pastimes was attending and watching videos of Southern Gospel quartets, singers, and the Bill Gaither program. She enjoyed crafts and helped with craft fairs for missions. She was quick to trust and depend on God. Her regret as illness progressed, was missing church services.
