Duane Graham, of Shady Cove, Ore., passed away at Providence Medford Medical Center on Monday, March 22, 2010.
He was born in Medford, Ore., on May 27, 1951, to Lee and Mercedes Graham, who survive. He lived in the Rogue Valley all of his life and retired from Boise Cascade. He graduated from Medford High in 1969, before joining the Marine Corps that same year.
He is survived by his parents, Mercedes and Lee of Shady Cove; his daughters, Tamara, Kendra and Kayla; and his younger brother, Stephen, of Eagle Point. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Ron, in November of last year.
Duane was a joy to everyone he knew. His father, Lee, has described him as the most lovable man. He had a sometimes odd, but always fabulous sense of humor and was always ready with a smile. He loved nature, especially in Oregon, and used to spend many days enjoying the freedom of riding his motorcycle along the back roads and taking pictures of the beautiful things he saw. When he was at home, he loved to cook (and had a great talent for it) and had recently become passionate about baking; giving all of the treats he made to his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held for Duane at the VA National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Ore., on Tuesday, March 30, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements have been made through Memory Gardens Mortuary in Medford, Ore.,
