Elizabeth Ann Richardson, 78, of Eagle Point, OR. passed Friday, June 12, 2009 at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, OR. following a courageous battle with cancer. Elizabeth was born May 21, 1931 in Cleveland, OH. to the late George & Elizabeth(Bandsuh) Mraz. She graduated High School in 1950. On Feb. 12, 1955 she was united in marriage to Roger Lewis Richardson, her life partner, in Maple Heights, OH. In 1964 Roger & Elizabeth moved to Southern Oregon and she worked for Rogue Valley Hospital, Harry & David Corp. and later for Dogs for the Deaf and then with Roger in their business Richardson Welding. She was a nature lover and champion for all creatures great and small. Her favorite pleasures were puppys breath, flowers, the coast, winters in Parker, AZ. and the many trips her and Roger enjoyed. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Roger, two sisters Florence Gapp and Loretta Rezac, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her brother George Mraz Jr., and faithful companion Valentine. At her request no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society of Southern Oregon, 2910 Table Rock Rd., Medford, OR 97501. They would also like to formally thank the staff of Rogue Valley Medical Center Oncology Dept. and the Asante Hospice Team for their caring, compassion and human touch.
