Elizabeth Marie Van Ek

Elizabeth Marie Van Ek, age 80, of Central Point, Oregon passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at her home. She was born December 22, 1930 in Platte, South Dakota to Henry H. and Isabell (Wendt) Kass.
Elizabeth married John Paul Van Ek in Hayward, California in 1949. They raised six children together.
She is survived by her husband, John Paul; daughter, Jan Marie Warren of Rogue River, Oregon; sons, John H. Van Ek of Medford, Oregon; William E. Van Ek of Hood River, Oregon; Chris A. Van Ek of Medford, Oregon; James L. Van Ek of Dallas, Texas; Paul D. Van Ek of Los Angeles, California; brothers, Keith Kass of Pleasanton, California; Bill Kass of Portola, Nevada; sister, Mary Siefert of Rippon, California; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10:00am at Memory Gardens Memorial Chapel. Father Theo Lange from Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, Central Point, Oregon will officiate.
