Ernest Ray Heaton

Ernest Ray Heaton, age 44 years, of Shady Cove, Oregon was killed in a logging accident June 27, 1956. Funeral services were held in the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel. Dorlan Woods, minister of the Cascade Gorge Christian Church will officiate. Committal will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford, OR.

Mr. Heaton was born Dec. 3, 1911 in Harrison, Arkansas to James Armstead Heaton & Claudia Andrews.. He had made his home in southern Oregon for four years. On Oct. 28, 1932 he married Minnie Lorena Studyvin who preceded him on June 16, 1948. After Minnies' passing Ernest and the two girls came to Oregon to be near family. He then met and married Hattie Bell(Peggy) Heaton who survives.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Heaton, Shady Cove; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Anthony, Prospect, and Mrs. Wanda Couser, Eagle Point; mother, Mrs. Claudia Heaton, Kremmling, Colorado; three brothers, Khlar, Norby, and Roy Heaton, all of Klamath Falls; a sister, Mrs. Faye Reynolds, Kremmling, Colorado; and three grandchildren, Charles, Harold Lyle, and Lorena Anthony.
