Ernest W. Irons, age 63, of Gold Hill, Oregon passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Rogue Valley Medical Center. He was born July 21, 1949 to William and Ruby Irons in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Ernest joined the USMC in 1967 and was an honored Vietnam Veteran. He loved the outdoors, going camping, hunting and fishing; especially on the coast, crabbing and clamming. He loved to sit and watch the sunset at the coast, then say how beautiful it was.
He is survived by his loving wife, Liwayway; his son, Shane (Karyn) Irons; brother, Jerry Barrett and grandson, Kane.
A wake was held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at The Pioneer in Central Point.
