Ethel E Cox, 93 years old, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2021 at Providence Medical Center, Medford, OR.
Ethel was born October 5, 1927, in Bray Mill, OR(south of Klamath Falls), the eldest child of Edd and Minnie Hawkins.
After graduating from Sacred Heart Academy, Klamath Falls, OR, she married Robert C. Cox on April 18, 1947. They celebrated fifty-six years of marriage before his death.
Her very first job was as an usherette in a movie theater. She also worked as a retail clerk, retiring from the Salvation Army in December 1993.
Ethel was a member of Catholic Daughters of America for over 60 years and a member of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, Central Point.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Stewart, her sisters Joan Lyon, Janice Hawkins, Jean Rush, her husband, Robert Cox, and her son, Rodney Cox.
She is survived by her youngest sister, Sharon Bauck, her son, Dale(Sheila) Cox, five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ethel will be laid to rest beside Robert in Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Klamath Falls, Oregon.
