Eva Lula Wilson, a native Oregonian and specifically of Jackson County, passed away January 3, 2013 in Medford, OR, but lived all her 99 years in Sams Valley, Trail, Eagle Point and White City, Oregon. She was the daughter of Sadie and James Frink of Beagle, Oregon and was born on September 14, 1913 in Central Point, Oregon.
On September 26, 1934, in Medford, she married Stephen O. Wilson who died April 4, 1991. Eva was a homemaker, mother and grandmother and worked in her husband's logging business office after their children were married. She enjoyed yard work, flowers, embroidering, canning, reading and was known for her delicious pies, until she could no longer see good enough to bake.
Eva was a member of the White City Baptist Church until its closing and belonged to the Senior Citizen Group of Eagle Point and the Eagle Point Historical Society and was a lifetime Grange member for 85 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Alice (David) Schneider of Medford; two sons, Larry (Elaine) and Richard of White City/Eagle Point; 9 grandchildren plus their spouses and 21 great grandchildren with on preceding her in death. Her two sisters, Ruth Schulz of Sams Valley and Emma Bennett of Benson, AZ and one brother, Morris Frink of Central Point preceded her in death.
Eva's memorial service will be held at the Memory Garden Chapel, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, Oregon, 97501 on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Cascade Christian High School, 855 Chevy Way, Medford, OR 97504 or Eagle Point Grange, P.O.
