Evelyn May Bales

Evelyn May Bales, 86, of Medford, Ore., went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 24, 2011. She was born on January 24, 1925, in Tolo, Ore., to Henry Ray and Forilda Jane Richardson. Evelyn graduated high school in Reedsport, Ore., and graduated from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary on June 8, 1971.
Evelyn known for her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, taught generations of children for a period of over 50 years. She was greatly loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bales; her parents, Henry and Forilda Richardson; and her sisters, Ethel Owens and Mildred Powell. She is survived by her brother, Alfred Richardson; nephews, Henry Richardson Potter and Ray Schick; nieces, Mary Lou Kyniston and Doris Rice; many great-nephews and great-nieces; all of her church family; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at Lozier Lane Baptist Church, 794 Lozier Ln., Medford, Ore., at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the Children's Ministry program at Lozier Lane Baptist Church are preferred and will be greatly appreciated.
