Flora Jean MargaretChancellor, 72, was called to her heavenly home on December 15, 2011.
Born to Arthur and Margaret Weber on June 16, 1939 in Hayward, CA. She graduated from Douglas High School in Winston, OR in 1957. Jean married John Paul DeRoss. they lived near Tenmile, OR and were blessed with two children, Roxanna and John, Jr. In 1970, she moved to Medford, OR. She later married Jesse Marion Chancellor, Jr. (Sonny) and was blessed with a daughter, Anna Jean.
For more than 37 years Jean delivered for the Mail Tribune, bringing news and cheer to all. She donated about 15 year to 4-H, enabling many children to experience the joys of the Jackson County Fair. Jean loved and gave to others without thought to herself. She had a great love of family and friends.
Jean is survived by, Roxanna (Alan) Sabin of Camas Valley, OR; grandsons - Justin (Kelsy) Sabin; Joshua Sabin; great-grandchidlren, Ila, Jake. John (Cindy) DeRoss, Jr. of Tenmile, OR; grandchildren, Candy and Carrie Watson, Howard, Helynn, Cody and Caleb Wood, Joy, Clara, John III, Ruth and Matthew DeRoss; great-grandchildren, Casey Lynn Harp; Anna Jean Chancellor of Medford, OR; mother, Lorraine Weber of Roseburg, OR; brother, Jerry (Beck) Weber of Portland, OR; nieces, Jenny and Heather; grandniece, Kaylea; aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny and her parents Arthur and Margaret.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 3:00pm at Memory Gardens Chapel, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, OR.
