Gary Eugene Overton

Gary "Carl" Eugene Overton born Sept 5, 1940 in Lamar, MO passed away on Aug 25, 2024 in Central Point, OR at age 83 after a long hard fought battle post stroke.
He is survived by Darlene Overton, his bride of 61
years; daughters Tammy Overton, Shelly Noon and Becky Carter, son Gary Overton, son-in-laws Tony Noon and Kevin Carter. Along with his granddaughters Stephanie Lingle, Jennifer Noon, Tori Noon, Desi Noon, Kaitlyn Jones; grandsons Thomas Noon, Travis Noon, Tony Noon, Cameron Carter; grandson-in-laws Charlie Lingle and Jared Jones; Tyler Summers as a bonus; great grandson's Nieco Noon, Syrus Noon, Devon Noon, Kaiser Noon, and CJ Lingle. Also his sister Gloria Thomason of Jasper, MO.

He is preceded in death by his parents Claude and Gleda Overton; brothers Dempsey Overton, James "Jay" Overton, Delbert "Earl" Overton, Ray Overton; sisters Betty Fay Overton, Wanda Hein and Nellie Smith.
He retired from a 20+ year career as a firefighter with the United Air Force then spent another 10 years in the fire department at the Medford Airport. His retirement years were spent outdoors with his family, fishing, hunting , camping and gardening.


He leaves behind a legacy of love. In lieu of flowers please go spend time with your families. A graveside service is schedule September 13, 2024 at Memory Gardens 1395 Arnold Lane Medford Oregon.
