Gil A. Meierhenry

Gilbert "Gil" Andrew Meierhenry, 81, of Medford passed on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at his home. Private family services have been held. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Gil was born Mar. 7, 1928 in Stanton, NE. He grew up there and worked on the family farm until the early 1950's when he headed west to CA. and went to work for the City of Anaheim. He worked his way up to supervisor of the Parkway Maintenance Dept. retiring after 30 years of service. In 1973 he married Susan Ryon Prout who survives. While in Anaheim Gil enjoyed playing city league softball and bowling. He served in the US Army. They have been in the Rogue Valley since 1989 Survivors in addition to Sue include a daughter Dawn Ladehoff of Rogers, NE., a son John Meierhenry of Portland, OR., stepson Scott & Lora Prout of Westminister, CA., and stepdtr Kellie Hahaj of Denver, CO., brother Stan & Margaret Meierhenry of Eagle Point, OR., a sister Irene Schmuser of ND., 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
