Glenn Calvin Mcbride

December 24, 1925 — January 29, 2015

Glenn C. McBride, 89, of Medford, Ore. passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015. He was born December 24, 1925 in Rocky Ford, Colorado. to Boyd C. and Lura (Sims) McBride. When still very young his family moved to the Bay area of Rodeo, California, where he grew up. Glenn graduated from John Swett High School in Crockett, Calif. He served honorably in the Merchant Marines and U. S. Army. Glenn worked for PGE as an equipment repair specialist in Rodeo, Calif.

After retiring in 1983 he moved to southern Oregon and enjoyed golf, camping, fishing, fly tying, woodworking and travel. In 1950 in Reno, Nev. he married Wilma Jean Baer. They later divorced but remained good friends. Glenn was a member of the Moose Lodge #2647 and Rogue Flyfishers.

Survivors include his former wife, Wilma of Rodeo, California; son, Douglas (Carol) McBride of Camino, California; grandson, Michael McBride of San Jose, California; daughter, Linda McBride of El Cerrito, California; close personal friend, Dottie Snopl; and many good friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darold McBride; sister, Maxine Dennis; his twin sister; Glennora Newman; and a sister, Nora Vecchi.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Memory Gardens Chapel, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford. He will be laid to rest in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Memory Gardens Mortuary in care of arrangements
