Helen Joyce Nikodym

Helen Joyce Nikodym, age 88 years, of Medford , OR passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021. She was born Nov. 25, 1932 in Grand Island, NE., to parents George & Sara Rutherford. On Jan. 26, 1949 she married Lloyd “Nick” Nikodym. She has lived in the Medford, Phoenix area since 1942, except for 14 years spent in Klamath Falls, OR. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Rogue Valley Memorial Hosp (Asante Rogue Regioinal Medical Center) and Merill West Medical Center (Klamath Falls.) She enjoyed reading, bowling, sewing and gardening. She was a member of the New Life Nazarene Church in Medford. Survivors include daughter Andrea (Jim) Maxwell, son Jerry (Sue) Nikodym and daughter-in-law Debi Nikodym, seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Her husband Nick, son Tom and son-in-law Terry Phillips preceded her. A private family service is planned to celebrate her life. She will be laid to rest with Nick in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford, OR. Memory Gardens Memorial Park & Mortuary in care of arrangements.
