Herbert Ray Hammers

Mr. Herbert Ray Hammers died peacefully in his home December 6th in Medford Oregon at
the age of 85. Herb is survived by his three sons Michael Ray Hammers, Jeffrey Brian Hammers, and Gregory Keith Hammers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janell Ruth Hammers and daughter Charlene Joyce Antley. Herb was born on September 14th, 1934 in Reeds Spring Missouri to Moses and Sarah Hammers. He married Janell in 1952 after meeting her at a country church in Caruthers, California. After moving to Oregon in 1962, he began working in the plywood industry for 46 years. Herb was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved God and was devoted to prayer and worship. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 12:00 PM on December 14th at Applegate Christian Fellowship, 7590 Highway 238 in Jacksonville OR 97530. Pastor Dan Patterson will officiate the ceremony and there will be a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Herb’s life.
