Horace Edward Bittle, Sr.
Horace was born to Louis and Martha Bittle on February 3, 1928 in Santa Ana, California. His family moved to Oregon in the 1930s. Horace graduated from Medford High School in 1946. He married Geneva Mae Wiltse on August 22, 1953 in Reno, Nevada. He worked as a carpenter for many years. He also owned his own business, Bittle's Saw Filing & Tool Repair. Horace was a founding member of the Little Butte Mountain Men and enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting ground squirrels in Dairy, Oregon.
He is survived by his son, Ed & Elaine Bittle of Central Point, Oregon; son-in-law, Joe Ganser of Sparks, Nevada; grandchildren, Mandi Bittle & Chance Boyer of Costa Mesa, California; Joey Ganser of Sparks, Nevada; Dennis & Kristen Ganser of Sparks, Nevada and great-granddaughter, Olivia Ganser of Sparks, Nevada. Horace was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geneva Mae Bittle and daughter, Cheryl Ganser. Horace Edward Bittle, Sr., 82, of Medford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at his home that he built when he was 18 years old.
Private inurnment of Horace Edward Bittle, Sr. will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
