Hortense E. "Tensia" Johnson (Olivera)

It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to a special woman in our lives. Hortense E. "Tensia" Johnson (Olivera) was born July 7, 1924 in Santa Barbara, Calif. and left us to join others that she loved on September 27, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. 'Bud" Johnson; son, Ed Padilla, five brothers; and grandson, Chip. She is survived by sons, William Padilla of Medford, Ore. (with whom she lived), and Peter Padilla of Thousand Oaks, Cal.; daughter-in-law, Gail Padilla of Canada; six grandshildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Cawthon; brother, Ray Olivera; and many other family and friends. Special thanks to her dear friend Erma Neal for all your love and support. Thanks also to all her friends at the Medford Senior Center as well as her wonderful care-givers. Her deep love of family, tenacity for life and enduring gifts of laughter will be carried with us all. God bless you, Mom. We love you.
