The graveside service for Inez A. Thompson will be on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Thompson, 92, of Medford, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007. She was born June 15, 1914 in Davis, OK. She had lived in the Medford, OR area since 1948, moving here from Richmond, CA.
She had worked at Rogue Valley Hospital with new borns in the delivery room, which was her passion. She retired in 1976.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Medford, and enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards and Bingo.
Survivors include: a daughter, Dovie Stout; three sons, Jim, Gale and Gary Sheperd; a brother, Cornelius Smith; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Herman P. Sheperd and Roy Lee Thompson; a son, Alvin Sheperd; two daughters, Oteka McIntier and Oleta Watson; a grandchild, Jay P. Sheperd; four sisters and two brothers.
