Iris M. Cookston, 98 of Jacksonville, Ore. passed on Monday, November 29, 2010 at her home. She was born to Joseph and Ida (Delmont) Menard on July 5, 1912 in San Francisco, Cal.
She married Fletcher Ray Cookston on April 14, 1939 in Los Angeles, Cal. They had one daughter, Carolyn R. Cookston. They ranched in Eagle Point and Ruch. She enjoyed cats and dogs, baking and special memories with the Dunlap family. Iris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter.
A memorial service will be held on December 3, 2010 at 10:00am at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, 600 Beebe Road in Central Point. Father Mike Walker will officiate. Please send memorial contributions to CATS and Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church Building Fund.
