Born in Lodi, Calif, James entered into heaven April 23rd in Medford, OR. He lived in Jacksonville, OR.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Lorena Young Ulich, his father, Harry Ahart, brother Gary Ahart and wife, Vernalee Grimes Ahart. James is survived by 3 children: Patti (Tim), Tommy Wayne Ahart and James Lewis Ahart, and Myra Chauhan. 4 grandchildren: Kate (Joshua), James William (Darcie), Jordan Wayne (Emily) and Amanda Lynne (David) and two great grandchildren Carson and Logan and his beloved wife Bonnie Yount Ahart.
James was an avid fisherman and hunter. Trout and venison were enjoyed by his family. He spent two years in the navy during high school and went through boot camp. An auto accident and bolt in his ankle prevented him from serving afterwards.
James worked for Young's Payless Market in Lockeford and Pliler and Lillie in Valley Springs, Calaveras Cement and Aerojet in Sacramento. He was a member of American Legion, Glencoe and Living Hope Church, Medford, OR.
Memorial service at San Andreas Chapel 11:00 am on Thursday, May 4th, 2017.
Lunch following at Goodfriends in Valley Springs.
