Jerry Allen Miller

January 31, 1939 — September 21, 2018

Jerry Allen Miller of Central Point, Oregon passed away peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2018. Jerry was born in Reno, Nevada to Pauline W. Miller and Gerald E. Miller.  He is survived by sons Jeff (Jan) Miller of Shalimar, Florida and Jon Miller of Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter Jodi Miller of Tigard, Oregon and grandson Jacob and granddaughters Caileian and Cienaira; Siblings are brothers Jack (Barbara) of Pioneer, California and Dale (Delberta) of Sacramento, California, a sister Joyce (George) Becraft of Roseville. California.  A sister, Gail Martin, preceded Jerry in death.
Jerry served as a Navy Reservist for four years after two years of active duty.  He worked for Pacific Bell Corporation in San Francisco, followed by Emergency Communication Dispatch Director with various city and county agencies in California and Oregon.  He worked for the Ginger Roger’s Craterian Theater and took great pride in the hours he spent as a volunteer at the theater and at the Medford Police Department.
The family appreciates the support and care given Jerry while living at The Orchards in Medford and most recently Vista View Mood and Memory Care in Central Point.  Thanks also extended to Rogue Valley Hospice.
Inurnment will be at the Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 12 at 2:00 pm. for family and friends at Memory Gardens Mortuary, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, Oregon.  Condolences can be sent to the family at www.memorygardensmortuary.com .  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association, Medford Police Department Volunteer Services or the Craterian Theater.
