Jim Chenault passed away on December 28, 2010, at the age of 65. Jim started his journey on earth in Morrilton, Ark., on December 12, 1945.
He moved to Santa Maria as a young child and attended Santa Maria schools. He graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1963. He later moved and spent the remainder of his life in Jacksonville, Ore.
Jim was full of life. His smile would light up any room, and to know him was to love him. His upbeat attitude and infectios laugh would lift the spirits of everyone around him. He shared his life with his best friend, the love of his life, wife Linda, of 28 years. Together they raised three children.
Spending time with family was a top priority for Jim. He especially loved moments with his grandchildren, Matthew, Lillian, Nicholas, and Jeffrey. House boating on Lake Shasta, river rafting and going on cruises with family and friends were just some of the activities Jim loved to do. He was a talented and trusted mechanic, as well as an avid NASCAR fan. He will be remembered for his infamous "Jimbo Limbo" dance that often entertained all who watched it unfold on the dance floor.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Richard (Kathleen) Chenault, Jamie Chenault, and Heather (Mike) Simpson; his four grandchildren; siblings, Kathy (Alan) Griffin, Diane (Ray) Sierman, David (Sue) Chenault, and Rick (Kim) Chenault; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hulen and Winnie Chenault; and his infant sister, Barbara Jean.
