Jimmie Sue (Suzy) Robinson was born to James Hisle and Mozelle (Mosshart) Hisle on August 30, 1949 in Temple, Texas. The family moved to Abilene whe she was 3. Following a move to California, she graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, California. She went to work at Catalina Sportswear. She later followed her parents to Michigan. She worked for Michigan Bell in Pontiac as a long distance operator until she transferred to Pacific Bell in El Monte, California.
On March 27, 1976 she married Wayne Michael Robinson at Mission San Gabriel in San Gabriel, California. The couple moved to Medford in 1978. She worked at Pacific Northwest Bell as a directory assistance operator then as a service representative in the business office. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She volunteered at the Cancer Society's Discovery Shop, for the SMART reading program and for the Children's Advocacy Center. She loved reading, crafts, travel and genealogy.
She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Katie (Burger) Armbruster; her sister Lynda Glisson; nieces, Terri Lynn Glisson and Dori Nasmyth and nephew, Scott Glisson.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Medford Congregational United Church of Christ at 1801 E. Jackson Street, Medford, Oregon at 5:00p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2011.
