John Paul Weber, 68, of Jacksonville died at his home on Sterling Creek on Saturday, Apr. 19, 2008 after a long and heroic battle with Central Nervous System Lymphoma. Many members of his family were present, holding his hands as he passed peacefully from this world into the next. John began life in Winnebago, MN. He met his beloved wife, Christin, in high school in Baudette, MN. After four years in the USAF as a non-commissioned officer, John began his career as an Air Traffic Controller, working mostly in the San Francisco Area at Bay TRACON. He retired as an ATC supervisor after 33 years of dedicated service. In 1995 he & Christin moved to the Pacific Northwest. John is survived by his wife Christin; his son, Jeff(Karen) Weber of Oakley, CA., four sisters, Joann(Duane) Maxwell of Marshall, MN., Mary(William) Maney of Cold Springs, MN., Cecile "Tede" Meza of Denver, CO., Bernadette(Ron) Hendricks of Stanwood, WA., two brothers, David(Delores) Weber of Many, LA.,and Michael(Darlene) Weber of Sparta, WI., and sisters-in-law, Anne Weber, Donna Weber, and Liz Kensinger as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents George & Agnes Weber and sisters and brothers; Mary Lavonne, George, Dale, Doris, and Beverly.
