JOSEPH ANTHONY LOPES The memorial service for Joseph "Joe" Anthony Lopes will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Bethel Church at Vista Pointe off of McAndrews Road in Medford. A private interment was in the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Mr. Lopes, 76, of Medford, died Saturday, July 14, 2007. He was born in Newman, Calif. to Joe and Victoria Lopes. He spent most of his childhood years in the San Joaquin Valley of California on a Dairy Farm. On Sept. 1, 1956 in Newark, CA., he married Gwen Ann Caldwell, who survives. He served in the US Navy as a Photographer. He liked to read his Bible, golf, play games with friends and family. Survivors include: his wife, Gwen of Medford; two daughters, Darlene Cox of Grass Valley, CA and Karen Alvey of Fremont, CA; four grandchildren, Matthew Alvey, Shaun Blakley, Phillip Cox, Jessica Takeuchi and great grandchild, Kylee Takeuchi; a brother, John Lopes and two sisters, Helen Gallichio and Mary Harris.
