Lenore Carol Gebhard, of Sams Valley, Ore., passed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, in Medford. She was born March 14, 1934, in Milwaukie, Wis., to Leonard and Dorothy King.
Lenore attended Eugene High School, and later Oregon State University, where she graduated in 1957 with a degree in education. She met and married her husband of 53 years, Vernon Gebhard, in 1957, in Eugene, Ore. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1958. In 1965, Lenore and Vernon moved to their ranch in Sams Valley, Ore., where she lived until her passing.
Lenore was a member of the Central Point School Board for 35 years. She was a 4-H leader for 42 years. She also served on the Farm Home Administration Board, the Cascade Hospital Board, the Central Point Garden Club and was member of the Table Rock Bible Church. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, sewing, painting, raising rabbits and miniature donkeys.
Lenore is survived by her husband, Vernon; her four children, Lisa Eisiminger, of Imbler, Ore., Brian Gebhard, of Sams Valley, Ore., Carrie Andre, of Troutdale, Ore. and Leslie McClurkin, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, February 12 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 1395 Arnold Lane in Medford,followed at 3:00p.m. by a Memorial Services at Trail Christian Fellowship on 1881 Highway 62 in Eagle Point
