Leonard Harvey Corbin was born in a log house with a fireplace along the beautiful Applegate river, near Applegate, Ore. on September 20, 1930. He attended and graduated from Applegate Elementary and Jacksonville High Schools.
He attended OIT for awhile and worked at various jobs on farms, forest service, fruit packing and storage plants, besides helping his father build houses and other work.
Survivors include his sister, Alma Rankin, brother, Fred Corbin; nieces, Jan Martin, Pauline Sequin, Susie McEntee, Katherine Balero, Janice Cervantes, Lisa Corbin and nephews, Michael Corbin, Travis Corbin and Shawn Corbin.
Leonard was an accomplished harmonia player and liked to sing songs and play his guitar at Oregon Old Time Fiddler gatherings in our valley and picnics. He loved to travel and spent many summers in Alaska and later camping and deer hunting, mostly in Central Oregon.
Leonard cared for his parents and was a good brother to his brothers and sisters. He had many good friends. Leonard showed his love in the many good things he did in his life.
We love you Leonard and will miss you very much here, be we know you were a good christian and the Good Lord is taking care of you from now on.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, September 13, 2012 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 1020 E. Main Street, Medford, Ore with a graveside to follow at Jacksonville Cemetery.
