Loretta Neeley Shoop

In loving memory of Loretta Shoop, born April 15, 1916 in Oakdale, Calif. Loretta was the 4th born of 6 children to James and Annie Neeley, all which preceded her in death. Loretta spent her early years in Redlands, Calif., later moving with her family to the Los Angeles area when she was twelve years old.
Loretta married her husband Thomas, in Las Vegas, NV. on March 2, 1941. They lived in Los Angeles until 1946 when they moved to Medford.
She was an active member in Crater Lions Auxiliary and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and held several offices in both organizations. She is a past Valentine Queen in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She was a good mother and homemaker and through out her life she enjoyed giving parties, oil painting, getting together with her friends for several different card games and playing golf at the Rogue Valley Country Club where she shot a hole in one. After Tom retired they enjoy camping, traveling and going south for the winters until his death in November 1993.
On April 17, 2012 at the age of 96 with a heavy heart and tear filled eyes we said goodbye to our beloved Mother and Grandma. She was an incredible and amazing woman with great words of wisdom who had a huge heart for her family and friends. She made many friends and kept them throughout her life time.
Loretta will forever be remembered by her loving and devoted children, daughter Karen (Otis) Applegate, son Brian Shoop both of Medford, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Medford, Colorado and Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
At Mother's request there will be no funeral services. The family will have a small graveside service.
We would like to thank the Asante Hospice caregivers for the excellent care and friendship that they showed towards mother during these past 3 months. She enjoyed each and every one of you and looked forward to every visit right down to her leg and foot massages.
Remembrance donations in her name may be sent to the wonderful people who gave such great care and assistance to Mother in her time of need at Asante Health Hospice, 2960 Doctors Park Drive, Medford, OR, 97504
