Lucille Sylvia Josephson

Lucille Sylvia Smith josephson, 90, of Medford, Oregon passed away of Pancreatic Cancer on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at home with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born June 5, 1919 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Heber & Clara (Uhrine) Smith. She married Frank E. Josephson in 1944 in Hollywood, California. They came to the Rogue Valley in 1950 from Yankee Hill, California. Lucille had been a bookkeeper during her working years. She enjoyed Pinochle and the Dominos game Turkey Tracks with her family. Lucy loved playing the organ and piano. She was active in humanitarian projects: crocheting leper bandages, making kitty blankets, and Caps for Kids. She was also an avid genealogist and enjoyed many years of helping others research their family histories.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include: daughter, Joyce Tuttle (Richard) of Medford, Oregon, son, Gary E. Josephson of Willamina, Oregon, three grandchildren: Scott Tuttle (Jill) of West Jordan, Utah, Stephen Tuttle (Janell) of Provo, Utah, Suzanne Tuttle Lee (Jared) of Midvale, Utah, two great grandchildren: Henry and Benjamin Tuttle of Provo, Utah, sister, Thelma Cullimore, and niece, Judy Cullimore Ives of Klamath Falls,Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Frank Josephson, brother, Mervyn Smith, and two grand daughters, Tracey and Katrina Tuttle.
Lucille's family thanks the Providence Hospice group for all their loving care.
Public viewing will be held at Memory Gardens, Wednesday, November 11 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3456 Bellinger Lane, Medford, Oregon. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
