Margrethe Mae Weck (Petersen)

Margrethe Mae Petersen Weck was born to Bent Viby Peterson and Mildred Inez Petersen on March 11, 1943 in Grand Island, Nebraska. She passed quietly on November 27, 2012 in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Castlemont High School, Oakland, California in 1961. She met, dated and married Ernest M. Weck in Medford, Oregon in 1969.

Living in the Rogue Valley, Margie worked as a tax prepare, seamstress and at Bear Creek Corp. She would often volunteer her bookkeeping skills and took on numerous positions with such organizations as children's theatre, youth sports, valley arts programs, local Civil Air Patrol and the Boy Scouts of America. She started her own design and sewing business, "Margie's Originals" where she was able to design a lot of wedding attire and other creations for people all over the region. Margie loved doing arts and crafts projects, which she would often give as gifts to family and friends.

Margrethe is preceded in death by her parents Bent and Mildred, as well as her brother Dale. She is survived by her husband Ernest of Medford, daughter Denise of Medford, son David from Mesa, Arizona and two grandchildren, Joshua and Benjamin Martin from Taylorsville, Utah.
