She was born July 30, 1926 in Mora County, NM to parents Jose David Mares and Manuela Chacon. She married Bruce William Baker who survives. Maria will be laid to rest on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Eagle Point National Veterans Cemetery, Eagle Point, OR.
