Mary Ann Glosch
With shining eyes, our family matriarch left her earthly home, surrounded by a loving family.
Mary was born to Daniel and Melvina Frye on February 22, 1913, in Linton, Ind. She completed high school and began working at a cafe where she met her husband-to-be, Charles Moldovan. They were married July, 12, 1933, in Lorain, Ohio. The moved from Ohio to Medford in April 1942. Mary worked at Montgomery Wards in Medford for 30 years before retiring to many various volunteer projects.
Charles died in 1981. Mary remarried Albert Glosch in December 1983, in Medford and later moved to Brookings, where they lived for 15 years. The onset of what appeared to be terminal cancer in 2000 forced her to return to Medford while her husband was taken to a Veteran Administration facility in Portland.
She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and all types of sewing and handwork. A special project of hers, which began in Brookings and continued until her death, was making quilts and many other needed items for the veterans at the Veteran Administration Domicilliary. She is survived by two daughters, Charlette (Dale) Richards, of Medford, Ore. and Carol (Joseph) Rutte, of Lake Forrest, Wash. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers
Private, family-only services are planned. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Asante Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Memory Gardens Mortuary and Memorial Park.
