Opal Allene Lees

Opal Allene Lees, 88 of Central Point, Ore passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at her home. She was born to Homer Hollis and Ruby Jane (Dotson) Brown on February 11, 1922 in Caruthersville, Missouri. She graduated from Central Point High School in 1941. Opal married Clyde Wilber Lees on July 19, 1947 in Reno, Nev. They raised 5 children together and lived in the Rogue Valley all of her lifetime. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, painting, doll making and her grandchildren. Opal was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and Lady Elks Medford Lodge. Opal is survived by her daughters, Barbara Davis of Central Point, Ore; Lisa Corbin of Medford, Ore; Tammy Dyhrmann of Medford, Ore; sister, Janette Moore of Medford, Ore; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wilber Lees in 1991; and two sons, Clyde Willam and Shawn Clare. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Memory Gardens Chapel, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford, Ore. Memorial contributions should be made to RVMC Hospice or a charity of your choice.
