Orin Gilbert Bartholomew

Orin G. Bartholomew, 91 of Central Point, Ore. passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Providence Medford Medical Center. He was born on July 21, 1919 to Walter and Adele (Addie) Bartholomew in Connell, WA.
Orin joined the Army for World War II and after discharge moved to the Rogue valley in 1946 where he married Muriel G. Piatt on March 17, 1946 at the First Baptist Church in Medford. He started Southern Oregon College, then went to work for Southern Pacific Railroad as a billing clerk, he retired from the railroad in 1978.
He enjoyed gardening and politics and was a member of the Central Point VFW post #5726 and N.C.O.A.
Orin is survived by son, Douglas (Kay) Bartholomew of Frederick, MD and daughter, Gail (Jerry) Kinney of Medford, OR; grandsons, Andrew, Paul and Daniel Bartholomew and Derek Seely and 3 Greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel G. Bartholomew; brothers, Ray and David Bartholomew.
